Each side accusing each other but it is the result that matters

Both the UK and EU have many things to attend to but the issue is that everything is getting delayed. Talks between the two started but then a gap of six weeks came in between and the video conferencing commenced between the two.

Now that has also not been a favourable option as it is said that everyone cannot be covered in it. Now one way or another EU is the one criticizing but not actually. On the other hand, PM Boris Johnson got COVID-19 positive and the gap extended. And now it is Barnier who is hit by the virus.

Another problem that occurred was the countries busy in fighting the pandemic. So in such a problematic situation it is been strongly recommended by many to postpone the trade deal so that only one issue is at hand to concentrate on.

But the UK is not at all considering it and wants to have a framework till June and have it finally decided in December 2020. How all this is going to happen is a big question. See the graph of effected people and government working 24 hours to make its people safe. Trade through sea or air cargo is another very serious matter at hand and it has to be dealt with caution.

Difference between the two

There is a very apparent difference between the two parties. EU wants to have a deal where its rules can prevail. But the UK is not at all going to return to that previous position with the bloc in one way or another. But there have been still just two rounds.

The big problem is that June is approaching. EU is forecasting that if by this month nothing has agreed then things are going to be difficult to decide by the time.

Areas to be covered

Both the sides have to decide on the future of vast sectors that include goods and services, fishing and farming, security cooperation, data policy and education and science. Both sides are going to try their best to agree on an agreement but compromise is needed.

UK wants to do things on its terms and does not want to follow the EU in trade. UK is also ready to end the transition period without any deal and commence trade on WTO lines.

What is to comes

The fact is that till now no country can control the present pandemic and there is nothing for now in their hands to get rid of it. So in such a situation how can trade sustain? There are serious effects that are going to take effect in the future and even now those are becoming apparent.

So to make things easier for this worldwide situation both the parties must think rationally. For now, making things easier is the key to get over with the situation. By both helping each other trade is going to get in a lot of trouble in the coming times. And not only trade other sections associated with it also be in the same situation.
