World’s largest independent cargo network WCA held its annual global conference in Abu Dhabi next year

This will not be any usual conference of cargo and freight forwarders as it is expected 2,500 cargo company delegates from all over the world will attend the conference. The event will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). This is a six-day conference that will continue from 10th of March to 16th of March 2016.

The ADNEC’s chief executive officer told the media that the WCA event is an honor for ADNEC because it is a significant global event and ADNEC will provide all possible support to ensure a successful conference.

He said, “ADNEC’s latest strategy places significant emphasis on the conference aspect of our business. To deliver this objective, we are proactively developing our industry network and bringing in a larger canvas of world-class conferences to the capital city of Abu Dhabi.”

WCA is the largest independent network of cargo and freight forwarders in the world; they have 5741 offices in the 760 cities in 191 countries of the world. Etihad Airways has been officially nominated as the Official Cargo Airline partner for swift and reliable Air Cargo and it is the most obvious reason that the conference is being held in the nest of Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi.

Air cargo vice President at Etihad Airways, said that they are proud to see this conference of global giants at their home ground in Abu Dhabi. He further added that the Etihad airways have worked very closely with the group in past four years and this conference will be very beneficial for the growth of cargo operations.

Etihad airways have vast knowledge of local and regional markets which is the key to success as it collects cargo from UK, USA and the entire network of its destinations and forwards to other countries in the world. WCA is also delighted to bring the global cargo conference to the Abu Dhabi for the first time.

Etihad cargo enjoyed a total uplift of 570,000 tons in only 2014, which is a 17 percent increase on 2013 and this added 1.1 billion dollars in revenue for the airline.
