Cargo Connectivity in Pakistan

Restricted Daylight is a great hurdle for road traffic

Inland cargo connectivity in Pakistan is hectic in winter due to bad weather

Connectivity is the most important factor in the cargo business. If connectivity or delivery is disturbed by any reason, the whole chain can be disturbed. Weather plays the most vital role in inland connectivity for Cargo to Pakistan.

Winter is the hardest weather for the countrymen due to its severity. Fog, rain, frost and cold are some major reasons that create a problem in cargo connectivity. Now here we discuss how winter can disturb the inland cargo connectivity in Pakistan.

By poor visibility on roads cargo transport cut short in numbers that are a reason in rising of cargo freight

In winter, due to foggy weather or misty weather some transporters don’t want to move their vehicles on roads so there is an artificial sacristy of vehicles and cargo connectivity disturbs automatically due to this decrease of vehicles on roads and un-surprisingly this effect has its own shadow on the freight rate of cargo transportation.

Freight Rates of cargo moves upward and disturbs the whole chain of cargo business. Rain in winter is really problematic in cargo transportation. Covering of cargo goods is the real problem in rain while you are on road with open transport.

There are close container but very limited because these are not in the trend of Pakistani culture of transport but in the rainy season it is necessary to protect the goods and valuables of the client, so rain in winter is a great problem for inland cargo transportation.

Major source of inland transportation road connectivity is disturbed in winter

Inland Cargo connectivity of Pakistan rests over the road network. Road network is an open network and can be disturbed by the harshness of weather as compared to trains network for cargo. Pakistan has strong road networks from corner to corner and has good railway network but the poor usability of Pakistan Railway Network enhances the importance of road connectivity.

Road connectivity can be disturbed by fog, rain, and frost. Due to poor visibility in winter season on roads can become a cause of road accident and poor connectivity of destinations by taking excess time due to bad weather.

Rail track faces not the problem in the same connection, it has its own track and no disturbance at all but in Pakistan, transportation relies on road connectivity so the problem is there in winter.

Limited daylight time in winter season of Pakistan

The big difference in winter and summer is the difference of the availability of the sunlight. In the winter season, there is very short daytime than nights. Transportation is already disturbed by the weather and this natural phenomenon enhances the problem.
