GuardFreight UK has launched E-Containerlock to safeguard and track cargo containers, if attacked by the pirates

It is a big dilemma for the sea shipping process that the ships are not 100 percent safe, either they are cruises or cargo ships. The ships coming from UK to Pakistan and other Asian countries usually face attacks from criminals while passing through the sea of Yemen and Somalia. They rob cargo shipments worth of millions of pounds.

Security levels on the containers are not that sophisticated which can help to locate the missing containers. But now GuardFreight UK has found a concrete solution to this problem. They have introduced a new kind of container locking system which will help to fight the war against criminals.

This new cargo transport security device is called the E-Containerlock and has been launched globally to help the sea shipping and land shipping companies in the world. The new locking system has been undergone 300 trials and delivers the best results.

E-Containerlock uses GPRS transmitters to provide tracking and positioning information of the container while it also informs if the seal is tampered. The GuardFreight online portal receives the information from the E-Containerlock system and delivers report to the users of the system.

FreightGuard director, Wayne Cressman said, “It fires you immediate text and email alerts if there is an issue, and a complete online audit of the shipment integrity is also available,”

According to the reports, yearly cargo theft amounts to £50bn across the globe and the new system will provide some extra security to secure the cargo containers. The GuardFreight has given customers two options to avail this new technology. There is a licensed service available which will incur a small monthly fee to use the E-Containerlock system or as a second option, container shipment companies can purchase the system at a one-off price.

Imagine if you send a container via cargo from UK to Pakistan and the system sends you a text message that your consignment is 50 nautical miles from Port Qasim, you can phone your party in Pakistan to approach the port in time.
